A UV filter is seen by many professionals as an essential piece of equipment. It serves two functions. It protects the front element of the lens. It can also enhance the picture quality of your captured images.
A filter, like this 37mm UV filter, screws onto the thread found at the front of your lens. Once attached, it sits unobtrusively in front of your lenses front element. This filter is compatible with all 37mm threaded lenses. Please verify your camera's lens thread size. This is usually marked somewhere on the lens barrel or printed underneath the lens cap. It is usually a mm reading followed by a "ø" (diameter) symbol.
